CLUB GUIDELINES, RULES & REGULATIONS

We want to make the club a fun, safe and enjoyable one with not too many rules and Regulations.                                                                                                                                                                                                         

We want a club that each and all members are friends and hunting buddies rather then customers or clients.

All members are accepted/renewed on a year to year basis. The local game warden will be provided a key to our locked gates and invited to stop by at any time.

Hunters who don't follow all of the rules will not be asked to renew the following year and are subject to being asked to leave the property immediately. 

Renewing members on an individual basis annually will allow me a way to exclude those that are not considerate of others or fail to follow the few rules that we do have. Our members should all remember that hunter ethics means doing the right thing…."even when no one is looking".

 

We also realize that not all members of the club will be happy with the few rules, regulations and structure that we have set up for the club, therefore, those that feel they want to bend the rules or feel they will just do as they please (against the club rules) need not apply.

We also know that some hunters are looking for a QDM (Quality Deer Management) or a Trophy Class Deer Hunting Club.  Therefore, we now have added a new 463 acre "Trophy" Bow Only, 8 Point Minimum Lease in Pike County Ohio for this 2011 season. Only 8 members will be allowed on this lease. Although we do encourage shooting an eight point or better on all our leases to protect the future and quality of our deer herd, we will not impose a minimum antler restriction on our other (5) leases at this point and time. We will see how it goes and make a decision on an annual basis.  For those that would like a QDM ONLY lease, this "Trophy" lease may be your chance to join our club with a group and have the entire property for yourselves so you may have control on what you shoot on it.  Keep an eye on our "New Leases" page as they will be posted as they become available.

13 PT. – 200" – "TROPHY CLASS"- "BOW ONLY" LEASE

    

 Rules, Regulations, & Guidelines: (SEE OUR "NEW" TROPHY CLASS WHITETAIL LEASE RULES BELOW)

 

  1. We only want safe ethical hunters. 
  2. All Members will follow the Ohio’s Division of Wildlife’s hunting regulations and bag limits posted each year. (and these additional rules set forth in our Clubs Rules, Regulations and Guidelines.)
  3. There will be no fawns shot on our leases.
  4. All Members must hunt legal and tag what you shoot.
  5. No guests allowed (except for member's children for the youth gun weekend only)
  6. We will not have set or assigned hunting spots at this time. All members will be on an honor system for selecting hunting areas/locations, setting up (portable only) stands etc.  We want members that will stay out of each others way and respected the space of others. I expect that new members to the club will also want the same.
  7. NO PERMANENT STANDS/HOUSES WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE LEASES!!
  8. Only 2 Stands per hunter. ALL PORTABLE STANDS OR GROUND BLINDS MUST BE REMOVED FROM THE LEASE WHEN NOT HUNTING THE PROPERTY FOR MORE THEN 4 CONSECUTIVE DAYS. We want all members coming in to hunt the following week to be able to go and hunt where they want on the lease unless they see a stand that someone in currently hunting that same week with them. We will not allow a group of members to hang a bunch of stands at the beginning of the season and claim an entire area of the lease for just themselves. The entire lease will be open for all members on that paticular lease equelly. If you see a stand, they will be hunting the lease the same week you are there and you will most likely meet that member. Be considerate, give your fellow member plenty of room.
  9. Deer Feeders may be left set up all year round if you would like but, your stands must be removed when not on the lease hunting.
  10. We will be considerate and give other members plenty of breathering room when hunting on the lease the same week with other club members. (I PERSONALLY WOULD WANT A MINIMUM OF 200 YARDS BETWEEN MYSELF AND OTHER CLUB MEMBERS, UNLESS I HAD A HUNTING BUDDY/PARTNER THAT WAS HUNTING WITH ME THAT WEEK)
  11. There will not be an antler restriction at this point. (EXCEPT ON OUR 463 ACRE "TROPHY" ONLY LEASE) This may or may not change, time will tell, but for some new members or children (on the youth, gun weekend only), this may be their first buck to actually see in the wilds, and we do not want to have a new member of the club get all excited when he sees a buck coming his way, only to have to stop and wonder whether this buck will meet the clubs minimum or wonder what the other members will think of him if he shoots and brings back a lesser buck. We feel that a “Trophy” is all in the eyes of the beholder and that all club members should be very excited for him whether it is a small 6 point or a Boone & Crockett Class Whitetail.  Some hunt for the “Trophy” and some hunt for the table fare. We all have different opinions and we want our members to respect the opinions of other members.

OUR "NEW" "TROPHY CLASS WHITETAIL LEASE – 462 ACRES IN PIKE COUNTY OHIO HAS IT'S OWN RULES  & REGULATIONS INCLUDING THESE ABOVE. HERE ARE THE ADDED RULES FOR THIS LEASE.

1) BOW HUNTING ONLY! (CROSSBOWS ARE ALLOWED)

2) 8 POINT MINIMUM. (LET THE YOUNG 8's & 10's GROW UP TO BECOME "TROPHY'S" THE NEXT YEAR…..:-)

3) NO TURKEY HUNTING WILL BE ALLOWED ON THIS LEASE. (EXCEPT WITH BOW DURING THE FALL SEASON  ONLY)

4) NO GUN HUNTING ALLOWED ON THIS LEASE.

5) ONLY 8 SERIOUS BOW HUNTERS / MEMBERS WILL BE ALLOWED.
